Duties:
- Administer & control the Firm's electronic databases and data resources;
-Use data modeling & other data management techniques to analyze and specify data usage;
-Oversee Firm applications development projects and ensure coordination w/users;
-Serve as technical lead for new software installation & for the upgrade of production software & systems;
-Evaluate software and applications development tools to be used by the Firm;
-Respond to trouble calls & help desk referrals, update associated databases;
(Salary: $75,000-85,000)

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
2 yrs. database administration experience, or 5 yrs. programming work experience with at least 2 yrs. in database administration;
Extensive knowledge of database management tools & techniques & procedures including but not limited to code development, customization, macro & batch processes, data warehousing, thin/fat client systems, internet/web-based database interface, data mapping/modeling and able to analyze and specify data usage within an application area;
Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Visual Basic and Active Server Pages (ASP), experience with writing tools including Crystal Reports as used in a client/server, Windows-based environment;
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while under pressure;
Dependable and able to work extended hours to meet Firm needs.
