Collections Specialist (DFM #125)

National law firm is seeking a Collections Specialist to assist CFO/COO, Controller and Director of Administration in their North Dallas office!  The Collections Specialist is responsible for resolving overdue bills and collecting payments from clients.  The Collections Specialist acts as a liaison between the Firm and clients to collect bills and resolve outstanding balances.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with Attorneys, Accounting, and the Director of Administration regarding collection efforts.

-Review accounts for collection efforts and develop collection strategies and payment plans.

-Locate and communicate with clients to begin the recovery process.

-Maintain a professional relationship with clients to negotiate payments and enact payment plans.

-Provide client service regarding collection issues, process, and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and over or short payments.  Monitor and maintain accounts via client calls and/or emails.

-Provide timely follow up on payment arrangements.

-Keep hard copy and electronic records of all communications, payment plans agreed to, and amounts paid.

-Communicate and follow-up effectively with Attorneys, Accounting, and the Director of Administration regarding client accounts on a timely basis.

-Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support Accounting with collection efforts.
