Commercial Lending Associate (DFM #594)

High-profile, well known, Texas-based law firm is seeking a Commercial Lending Associate for their Dallas office.  This attorney will provide support to the Real Estate and Banking Group.

 

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements

-Advising clients on complex transactions and initiatives related to bank lending and coordinating with other attorneys, and legal personnel, providing such advice.

-Performing and supervising legal due diligence with respect to client’s legal entities, including corporations, LLCs and trusts.

-Preparing standard loan documentation for lending transactions with clients, including loans secured by financial assets and real estate.

-Ability to write clearly when translating complex financial legal negotiations into document form.

-Advising clients on leggal matters relating to governance, compliance with relevant banking laws and regulations, and operations, on policies and procedures, products and services and disclosures related to complex matters and initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

-Must have J.D. from an accredited law school with a GPA in the upper 25%.

-Must be licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Association.

3-5 years of experience with banking and/or lending business and familiarity with bank regulations, commercial banking and lending products preferred.

-Private practice with top law firm and/or in-house legal experience advising clients on banking and lending business and initiatives, and experience in managing paralegals and supporting cross-functional strategic projects, desirable.
