Commercial Litigation Legal Secretary (DFM #710)

The Dallas office of a full service Global 100 law firm handling corporate and technology matters, high stakes litigation, and complex financial transactions, with over 850 attorneys around the globe is seeking a Senior Litigation Legal Secretary to support various attorneys in a busy section!

 

Knowledge and Responsibilities:

-Extensive knowledge of litigation (e-filings) and trial procedures

-Federal, state and appellate court procedures

-Federal and state court rules is required

-Must have excellent technical, organizational and administrative skills as well as strong interpersonal relationship skills

-Must have the ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast paced environment

-Must be able to work under pressure, remain flexible, be proactive, resourceful and efficient

-Handle multiple projects and changing priorities on a very busy desk

 

Qualifications:

-Must possess excellent language and grammar skills, proofreading and a typing speed of 70-80 wpm

-5+ years large law firm experience is required

-Knowledge of PowerPoint and MS Excel spreadsheets would be helpful

-Will be expected to work overtime and remain flexible whenever necessary

 

Computer Proficiency:

-Experience with legal document management systems (NetDocs preferred), Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Suite 2010, pdfDocs, Chnge Pro or similar document comparison software

-Adobe Acrobat, Intapp Time Entry System, InterAction (electronic contact management), AccuRoute scanning software, and appropriate web-based data searches and communications

-Training will be provided on most software

-Must have the ability to learn new skills and systems quickly

 

Firm provides an excellent benefit package along with new beautiful offices in Uptown!  Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but minor changes to work hours can be discussed.

 

Salary:  $70,000-75,000 DOE
