Corporate Legal Secretary (DFM #106)

A premier international law firm with over 1,600 attorneys and 20 offices in major financial centers worldwide, seeks a Legal Secretary – Corporate for its Dallas office. This position requires extensive communication with clients and Firm personnel on the phone and in person.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling appointments and travel for attorneys.
  • Entering attorney time, billing and expense reimbursements.
  • Maintaining various reports and files.
  • Complex editing, printing and formatting of legal documents, letters, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Assisting with closings and closing binders.
  • Researching and obtaining information.
  • Facilitating the completion of various forms and processes.

  • Successful candidates will work effectively with various Firm departments and offices. engaging resources in an appropriate manner.
  • Able to handle highly sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • The ideal candidate must be professional, proactive and efficient.
  • Strong organization skills and a positive, energetic attitude is essential.
  • Able to organize their workload, prioritize multiple projects and multitask in order to meet all deadlines.
  • Exhibit very strong attention to detail.
  • Possess solid computer proficiencies.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, and remain calm in deadline-driven and high pressure situations.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and use sound judgment.
  • Be extremely discreet and carefully maintain confidences.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively (in writing, orally and in e-mail), and demonstrate excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
  • Deliver accurate work product which adheres to firm standards for format, style and quality.
  • Use departmental support effectively and appropriately to meet client needs and achieve high productivity.
  • Maintain high productivity with minimal instruction and supervision.
  • Work overtime, if necessary.

Experience

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience.
  • College degree and law firm experience preferred.
  • Required computer experience includes a high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft Office 2019 preferred) and Windows 10.

 

The firm provides an excellent benefit package along with beautiful office in Dallas!  Hours are 9:00-5:15 Monday through Friday.

 

 

Salary:  $75,000-85,000 DOE
