Docketing Clerk (DFM #130)

A leading international law firm is seeking a Docketing Clerk for their Practice Management & Client Value department, reporting to the Docketing Manager.


This role is a hybrid schedule (3 in office/2 remote).  Candidate will be responsible for supporting the Firm’s centralized calendaring services and assisting with e-filing in their Dallas office as well as firmwide when needed.  The Docketing clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate calendaring of cases in the centralized docketing system, organizing and meticulously preparing documents for e-filing jurisdictions nationwide, responding to calls, emails, and maintaining the docketing inbox.


Key Responsibilities:

-Calendar deadlines in centralized docketing software (CourtAlert)

-Provide both Filing and E-filing Services to all of New York attorneys and nationwide as needed

-Monitor and respond to requests sent to docketing inboxes

-Keep current with court rule updates

-Perform other tasks as requested by Docketing Manager

-Assist with answering calendar calls in the Courts

-Responsible for delivering courtesy copies/working copies to the Courts

-Arrange pickup of various documents for attorneys (Certificates of Good Standing/Apostille/Notary Flag)

-Participate in regular department meetings


Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

-3+ years of law firm docketing preferred

-Proficiency with calendaring software

-Knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules

-Ability to work extended hours as necessary

-Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

-Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate detailed land complex information to others

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner

-Ability to work independently and with a team

-Willingness and ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities

-Excellent judgment and discretion

-Strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with attorneys, peers, office and firm management, and outside business partners

-Commitment to professional growth and development


The Firm offers a very competitive benefit package along with beautiful offices in Dallas!  Hours are 9:00-5:30 Monday-Friday.


Salary:  $50,000-$60,000 DOE
