Estates & Trusts Paralegal (DFM #767)

Top-tier law firm in Dallas with offices across the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia has an excellent opportunity available for a Paralegal in their Estates & Trusts Practice Group!  This paralegal will provide assistance to attorneys and clients in estate and trust administration.  This position requires advanced skills with worksheet preparation, strong accounting and computational experience.  This position will support 5-6 attorneys.

 

Responsibilities:

-Prepare fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns;

-Research fiduciary income tax, estate tax and probate issues;

-Create documents to probate and administer estates;

-Administer trusts and non-liquid trust assets;

-Attend client meetings and maintain frequent client contact for administration matters.

 

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) or more years of estate and trust administration experience (equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree);

-Must have advanced, expert-level Excel knowledge and a high level of proficiency in estate and tax software;

-Must have strong accounting and computational experience;

-Knowledge of beneficiary information, scheduling distributions, processing gifts and the receipt of new trust assets is a plus!

-Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting while meeting all required deadlines with minimum supervision.

 

Firm provides an exceptional benefit package along with new, beautiful offices, based on a 40-hour work week.  Annual billable hours are 1650.

 

Salary:  $75,000-90,000+ depending upon experience!
