Global Finance Paralegal (DFM #150)

Global, high-profile, law firm in Dallas is seeking a highly-experienced Global Finance Paralegal to provide assistance to attorneys by researching law, reviewing and preparing documents, and assisting in all manner of organizing commercial lending transactions.  The team consists of 3 Global Finance Paralegals and 16 attorneys.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and organizes due diligence materials.
  • Obtains, reviews and analyzes lien search reports and prepares lien summaries.
  • Prepares UCC financing statements, collateral descriptions and amendments; researches revised Article 9/UCC issues.
  • Prepares or obtains incorporation/formation documents, and prepares initial drafts of ancillary closing documents.
  • Prepares and updates working group lists, timetables and checklists; prepares correspondence and drafts of documents for comment.
  • Conducts, monitors, or coordinates closing, as well as post-closing activities.
  • Reviews closing documents for completeness and compliance; prepares, maintains and distributes closing books (electronic and bound).
  • Interfaces with clients and other counsel.
  • Orders documents from government agencies, private document retrieval companies and internal sources as appropriate.
  • Performs searches on Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, Pacer and other databases.
  • Delegates appropriate assignments to project assistant(s) and utilizes other resources effectively.
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum five years of finance law firm experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

 

Preferred:

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited program

The firm offers a very competitive benefit along with beautiful offices in Uptown!  This is a growing team with a great leader!  Hours are 8:30-5:00.  Paid Overtime.  This position is onsite.

 

Salary:  Top salary depending upon experience!
