Litigation Legal Assistant (DFM #883)

High-profile, international law firm in Dallas is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to assist with the Firm’s Healthcare Practice, including compliance, investigations and litigation matters.  Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience within a law firm environment.  This position will also support the Firm’s Partner who is Chair of Healthcare Regulatory/Litigation Practice section!

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Provide administrative support to partners, associates and paralegal including telephones, travel, time entry and processing of expenses.

-Document preparation and management including drafting and editing of letters, pleadings, contracts, agreements and memoranda.

-Format electronic documents with appropriate styles according to firm, court and agency standards.

-Assist with preparation and submission of court filings.

-Time entry, review paperless proformas, make edits, coordinate billing process with accounting, prepare bills.

-Submit conflict searches and new client matter information.

-Create and maintain record keeping and information systems in conjunction with firm standards and attorney requirements.

-Assist with client/firm meetings and events, maintain calendars.

-Maintain and update client matter files.

-Communicate with clients, outside counsel, vendors and agencies.

-Maintain and utilize contacts of assigned attorneys using Interaction contacts software.

 

Requirements:

-Litigation and Healthcare Experience

-Litigation Support Experience

-Technical expertise in Microsoft Office and document management systems

-Strong communication and writing skills

-Ability to multi-task and work independently; team work

Salary:  $80,000-95,000 DOE
