High-profile, Intellectual Property boutique, is seeking a Patent Paralegal or Patent Legal Secretary (w/paralegal duties) to join their growing patent prosecution team!  Law firm specializes in IP services for high-tech startups and innovative companies throughout the world!  Ideal candidate will be highly organized and excited to take on a full range of U.S. patent paralegal responsibilities!

 

Responsibilities:

-Daily tasks will include preparing and submitting documents to USPTO for new applications, office action responses, etc.

-Processing USPTO correspondence and attending to action items.

-Performing proofreading and quality assurance for compliance with USPTO rules and firm standards.

-Reporting to clients and working with them to obtain information and instructions.

-Tracking due dates and following up to ensure timely action.

 

Requirements:

-Minimum 5 years in a law firm setting.

-Minimum 3 years working in patent filings.

-Strong knowledge of USPTO’s EFS.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Excellent time management skills.

-Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.

-Computer proficiency-Foundation IP is a plus!

-No billable hours required!

 

The firm provides a very “laid back” atmosphere with lunch brought in, kitchen, Espresso machine, etc.

 

Firm provides a 40 hour work week, health insurance, retirement, paid parking, discretionary bonus, salary review/increase, etc.

 

Salary:  $70,000-78,000
