Real Estate Paralegal (DFM #618)

Texas-based law firm is seeking a highly qualified Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support various attorneys and other real estate Paralegals!


The paralegal will principally work under the supervision of the supervising attorneys and provide support to the real estate group attorneys in the Firm.  The responsibilities include title, survey and lease review.  Corporate experience is a plus!  the candidate must possess an analytical and logical mind and be able to resolve conflicts and relate well with internal employees, clients, vendors, agents, etc.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a proactive team player and able to perform each essential duties satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

-Experience with large, multi-million dollar acquisitions

-Sales and leasing transactions transactions (title and survey review, due diligence, document preparation (amendments, leases, contracts, etc.)

-Exceptional drafting skills required

-Must be highly organized and maintain electronic and hardcopy matter files per firm procedures

-Preparing Closing Binders

-Prepare calendar reminders of deadlines

-Liaise with clients and team members

-Conduct searches with various state and county jurisdictions and state Secretary of State offices

-Familiar with various office support software

-Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.

-Law firm experience supporting high-level partners



-Four year undergraduate degree preferred but not required

-Paralegal certificate preferred

-Minimum of 5+ years experience and exposure to real estate matters as a Paralegal required.  Corporate experience is a plus!

-Must have exceptional computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint and Adobe Software

-Experience working with various practice and file management databases

-Must be able to maintain confidentiality

-Overtime is not frequently required but may be occasionally necessary to accommodate closings, etc.

-Exceptional communication, customer service, organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills required.
