Technology Trainer (Dallas) (DFM #941)

High-profile, international law firm in Dallas is seeking a Technology Trainer who would be responsible for contributing to providing a variety of software training and application support services in the standards and use of firm-supported software.  Training personnel are responsible for identifying training needs and providing document production and information management support to the Firm’s personnel.  Training personnel are responsible for the development, customization, and maintenance of instructional materials (courseware, quick reference guides, eLearnng videos, etc.) related to existing and planned firm-supported hardware and software.


Primary Responsibilities:

-Conduct U.S. based and international new hire and follow up training on the MS Office 365 suite, Litera software, Adobe and Webex via one-on-one coaching, virtual instruction, and classroom.

-Develop and maintain courseware outlines, demo documents and PowerPoint.  Prepare and maintain training manual material of firm supported software (existing and new).

-Develop eLearning tips using TechSmith, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate Storyline.

-Create and maintain training events, on-demand resources and record attendance in UniversitySite LMS.  Maintain training room and related equipment to insure proper configuration and functionality.

-Develop procedures, specifications and firm standards optimizing the use of existing and future firm related software.

-Propose suggestions for training topics based on analysis of tickets, survey responses, user group feedback, and one-on-one user conversations.

-Provide troubleshooting, best practices, and training support to the Help Desk, other IT personnel, and end users.  Occasionally create knowledge base articles for the Help Desk.

-Provide support of the Service (Help) Desk as needed.


Minimum Requirements:

-Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree

-3-5 years experience

-Expert proficiency in the use of the MS office Suite, Litera and other legal applications

-Expert proficiency specifically with document creation and formatting

-Proficiency in eLearning Rapid Development


Essential Job Functions:

-Develop video-based training sessions.

-Provide reports (to HR) for curses attended by each employee.

-Maintain training material posted on an intranet.

-Collaborate with other trainers, management, user services group and other department personnel.

-Trainer may be required to test PCs prior to new hire training or after upgrades.


Additional Requirements:

-Overtime may be required.

-Travel to other Firm’s offices may be required.

Salary:  $80,000-$100,000 DOE
