Estate Planning Paralegal (DFM #766)

High-profile, national law firm in Uptown is seeking a highly qualified Wealth Preservation Paralegal to support the Shareholder and Chair of the Wealth Preservation Practice Group but also assisting the other attorneys within the section.

The Shareholder is a specialist in estate planning and probate law.  His practice involves complex tax, estate and business succession planning as well as administration of estates.  He has lectured at numerous tax and estate planning seminars.  He provides estate planning and administration of estates and trusts, including charitable and post-mortem tax planning and rendering advice regarding fiduciary responsibilities.  He also organizes and qualifies private foundations and other non-profit organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Experience drafting documents such as estate planning, estate administration, complex trust transactions, grantor sales, installment trusts, etc.

-Preparing tax returns and gift tax returns

-Must be able to draft documents from the beginning

-Experience with document automation software (e.g., Contract Express)

-Able to assist various attorneys within the section

-Excellent communication skills

-Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects

-Computer proficiency (Word/Excel/Power Point) Outlook

Education:

-Paralegal certificate is preferred.

-Bachelor’s degree is also preferred.

-5-10 years of solid estate planning experience needed.
