A large, full-service law firm with offices across the U.S., is in search of a full-time, non-exempt, Business Litigation Paralegal to join their downtown Dallas office. The firm offers a competitive benefit package along with a hybrid work schedule after an initial period of training! Billable hours are 1600-1650 per year.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements

  • Assists with all aspects of deposition and other discovery preparation, trial preparation, pre-trial compliance, preparation for jury voir dire, trial, post-trial and appellate proceedings, including preparation for oral arguments, case strategy conferences and preparation and filing of motions and briefs electronically or manually.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and drafts discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices and other court pleadings and documents, including summarizing transcripts and records.
  • Identifies, collects, and organizes factual evidence, including deposition and witness outlines, and deposition and trial exhibits.
  • Creates organizational systems, including the preparation of annotated binders, for case documents.
  • Cite-checks and blue-books briefs and prepares exhibits for same.
  • Maintains familiarity with court filing procedures, local rules, and individual practices of judges assigned on matters.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (or higher) or a Paralegal Certification required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Substantial equivalent experience in Litigation will be considered in lieu of education.
  • At least three (3)+ years of experience in the Litigation practice area is required.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Relativity is a plus!
