Job Description:

A private company with deep experience and history in the resident screening business, is seeking a Corporate Paralegal who will be responsible for many administrative tasks, such as organizing all legal activities for the company, including but not limited to, lawsuits, regulatory inquiries, severance agreements, and insurance requirements. This position is in their Irving, Texas location!

The Corporate Paralegal  will help with high volume tasks that require legal accuracy for items such as responding to legal document requests.  They will be required to conduct research, not only on legal matters, but also regulatory government agency requirements in collaboration with the Compliance Department.  The Corporate Paralegal will also be required to have familiarity with company contracts of customers and suppliers, as well as preparing legal documents, maintaining records, and conducting research.  The Corporate Paralegal should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required, Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of Corporate Paralegal experience required.
  • Understanding of/or ability to learn Resident Screening Business.
  • Understanding and experience with Federal Credit Reporting Agency (FCRA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
  • Experience with Corporate Governance.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
