Job Description:

Fast-paced, high-volume personal injury law firm is seeking a skilled Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their growing team in Channelview, Texas.  This role invovles managing Personal Injury cases using advanced technology to ensure superior client service.  The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach, demonstrating leadership skills while working collaboratively with a dedicated team!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a docket of pre-litigation personal injury cases.
  • Investigate coverage and develop theories of liability and damage models.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to facilitate efficient case resolutions.
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury claims.
  • Analyze medical records and bills to aid in case development.
  • Supervise legal support staff.
  • Provide detailed direction on cases.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis of settlement versus litigation.
  • Will keep clients informed about the status of their cases.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in Texas.
  • Proven experience in negotiation and advocacy for clients.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, adjusters, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with Texas insurance laws.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of the pre-litigation process.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 1-3 years experience.
