High-profile, Austin-based law firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Personal Injury Paralegal to join their busy team!  The firm focuses on toxic exposure (clean air and clean water) and has an active docket in Texas and around the country.  The firm is compassionate and client oriented with a focus on health and financial recovery.  Come be part of something big!

 

What You’ll Do:

-You will work in a team-based environment supporting litigation attorneys with personal injury and premises liability.

-Responsibilities will include drafting and filing pleadings, coordinating meetings and hearings, and communicating with clients with updates about their case status.

-Support internal litigation counsel in all stages of litigation.

-Assist with the factual development and analysis of cases, including gathering and reviewing documents, and creating timelines.

-Manage the discovery process, including collecting, retaining, and producing documents, drafting written responses to discovery, and setting up and maintaining document review platforms.

-Draft basic legal documents, including document retention notices and response letters, and prepare court documents for filing.

-Communicate with opposing parties.

-Maintain the case file and litigation calendar and monitor case dockets.

 

Who you Are:

-3-5+ years of personal injury (plaintiff) experience handling litigation matters.

-Prefer some premises liability experience.

-Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred  or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.

-Proficiency with state and federal court filings.

-Top-tier law firm experience preferred.

-Understanding of litigation motion practice, discovery, arbitration, trial, and appellate procedure.

-Strong organizational, analytical, and fact-finding skills.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Ability to manage a high volume of matters, work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and oversee multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong work ethic with a goal-oriented focus as well as flexibility to take on new areas of responsibilities.

-Seeking a paralegal who can own their responsibilities and keep a well-oiled machine running!

 

The firm provides a very competitive benefit package along with an office in a quaint and relaxing atmosphere near downtown Austin!  This position is hybrid!

 

Salary:  $70,000-$80,000 DOE
